It is unbelievable how quickly time flies and that we are already getting ready to celebrate the end of the old and the coming of the new year together, for the fifth time!
For more than four years now, Žltý Melón has been working to humanise the financial system and provided a platform where people like you can borrow or invest their money, showing how this new form of people powered finance can flourish.
As in years past, to celebrate the end of another successful year of people to people lending on Žltý Melón, we have put together a special competition for our users. This year, however, we have approached things a little differently than in the past, making it both more attractive in terms of prizes and also more accessible for all of our users, regardless of your level of investment on our site.

How can I enter the competition?
Simply recommend us to your friends and when they open a new investment account on Žltý Melón, make sure they enter the email address linked to your user account as their reference code during the registration process. Your friend will need to make at least one successful investment offer of at least 25 EUR or 500 CZK, in order for their registration to count towards your entry into the competition.
What can you win?
We have prepared three cash prizes of 1000, 500 and 250 EUR for the three users who get the most people to register and start using their new account on Žltý Melón. This competition will run from 21.11.2016 to 31.12.2016 after which we will who made the most referrals and award the prizes to the winners.
Also, even if you don’t win one of the top prizes, you can still earn money through our new affiliate programme for every friend that you refer to us who actively invests at least 250 EUR / 5 000 CZK on our platform, You can find the full details about our affiliate programme and the referal commissions you can earn here.

Terms and conditions for the competition:
- The "Recommend Žltý Melón and win up to 1000 EUR' competition will run from 11.21.2016 to 31.12.2016, and is based on the number of people that a user refers to us using their email address as the reference code and who make a qualifying successful investment bid in a loan auction during this period.
- Entry to the competition is open to all people with a registered investor account on Žltý Melón and a valid e-mail address (“The referrer(s)”). Investors can check or change the registered email address for their account on Žltý Melón in the My Account area..
- To qualify towards a user’s entry into this contest a “recommended investor” must successfully register a new account as an investor on Žltý Melón using the email address associated with the referrer’s existing account on Žltý Melón as their sole identifier and reference code during the registration process.
- After the deadline of this competition Žltý Melón will assess all of the newly-registered investor accounts that were registered during the period of the competition and that listed a specific email address of a current Žltý Melón user account as their reference code, in order to calculate the three current user accounts (based on their registered email addresses) that were listed as the reference code for the most newly registered investors, which will then be awarded the three top prizes based on these results.
- The three cash prizes available are for 1000 , 500, and 250 EUR respectively, which will be awarded after an evaluation by Žltý Melón of the investor accounts that were registered on Žltý melón during the period of the contest and what email address they listed as their reference code (if any). In the even that two or more current investors (as determined by their email address) where listed as the reference code for an equal number of newly registered investor accounts, the appropriate prize(s) will be split equally amongst them. If this situation occurs for a tie between either first and second, second and third, or first, second and third place, then the relevant prizes for those positions will be split between the users that are tied. (e.g. if three users are tied for first place, all three prizes will be split equally amongst them, if two users are tied for 2nd place then the 2nd and 3rd prizes will be split amongst them and if two or more users are tied for 3rd place then the 3rd place prize will be split equally amongst those users).
- At the end of the competition Žltý Melón will inform the winners of the results in an appropriate manner and then credit any prize earnings to the clients’ virtual investment account on Žltý Melón. Funds from these prizes will be freely available for immediate use by the investor as they so choose, or available for the investor to withdraw them to their bank account if they wish.
- Employes of Žltý Melón and their family members are excluded from participation in this competition.
